A woman, using the name Jane Doe in legal documents, accused Mötley Crüe’s Tommy Lee of sexual assault that took place twenty years ago.
Doe alleged that Lee invited her to his private helicopter ‘under false pretenses’ in 2003 and assaulted her while under the influence of alcohol and drugs.
The Details Of The Incident

According to the claims, the woman agreed to go on a short helicopter trip with the drummer’s pilot, David Martz, as she became friends with him while working in a bank in San Diego. After a 40-minute flight, they ended up landing in Van Nuys.
Once on the ground, Lee joined the two and ‘consumed several alcoholic beverages, smoked marijuana, and snorted cocaine’ with Martz. After that, he allegedly ‘proceeded to sexually assault [her] by forcibly groping, kissing, penetrating her with his fingers, and attempting to force her to perform oral copulation.’
Doe’s Late Report Of The Alleged Assault

Doe noted that she had nowhere to go and was unable to move in the cockpit as the Mötley Crüe member forced himself on her. She reported suffering from permanent emotional, physical, and psychological distress because of the incident.
The woman also cited these as the reason for taking so long to report:
“Those feelings, coupled with the fame of Lee and the climate of the music industry at the time (in which rock-n-roll star like Lee thrived and gained even further celebrity from salacious and hedonistic conduct), led her to believe that nothing would come from reporting Lee and Martz’s conduct to local police authorities.”
There May Be Others, She Says

In her legal action, Doe also hinted that she might not be the only one to have experienced such situations with Lee and Martz, who died in a plane crash in 2015. She believes they may have used similar methods to take advantage of other women.
Currently, she’s asking for an unknown amount to be paid for the damages.
