Morbid Angel will no longer be part of the upcoming ‘Devastation On The Nation’ U.S. tour organized by the ‘Vox&Hops’ metal podcast. I Am Morbid will replace them, with David Vincent on vocals and Pedro ‘Pete’ Sandoval on drums, along with guitarists Richie Brown and Bill Hudson.

Earlier on Friday, the tour organizers shared, “The highly anticipated ‘Devastation On The Nation’ Tour presented by ‘Vox&Hops’ kicks off in less than three weeks, and we’ve got an important update to share! Unfortunately, due to unforeseen circumstances, Morbid Angel will no longer be joining us on this tour. Stepping up to take the headlining spot is none other than I Am Morbid!”

“Get ready to be blown away as I Am Morbid delivers an unforgettable set, performing classic tracks from the Vincent & Sandoval era, including fan favorites from ‘Altars Of Madness,’ ‘Blessed Are The Sick,’ ‘Covenant,’ and ‘Domination.’”

The vocalist later commented, “A U.S. tour for I Am Morbid is long overdue. We are looking forward to bringing the old-school Morbid legacy to our friends across the nation!”

Sandoval and Vincent reunited for the first time in 12 years for I Am Morbid’s European tour in spring 2022. The drummer left Morbid Angel in 2010 after back surgery for a prolapsed disc.

Vincent shared a few years later that Sandoval’s new life as a born-again Christian led to his departure from Morbid Angel as they weren’t ‘compatible’ anymore. He himself left the band in 2015.
