Mike Portnoy Pays Tribute To Pink Floyd By Sharing The Ultimate Setlist From Empire Pool Wembley Show

Former drummer of Dream Theater Mike Portnoy shared a post on his official Instagram page revealing his opinions about the tracklist of Pink Floyd’s iconic performance at the Empire Pool Wembley back in 1974 and apparently, Portnoy thinks it’s the ultimate setlist for the band including legendary songs.

As you might know, while Pink Floyd has numerous iconic live shows throughout its career that spanned over more than three decades such as the ‘Philadelphia Pulse’ concert, ‘Live in Pompeii,’ ‘The Dark Side of the Moon 1972 Tour,’ and much more.

While there are countless more iconic performances of the legendary band, there is also one special show of theirs that is so memorable that the show has its own live album. It’s the one at the Empire Pool Wembley back in 1974 and the live album named ‘Live at the Empire Pool’ was released many years later the actual performance, September 26, 2011.

Recently, the legendary drummer and musician Mike Portnoy shared a post on his official Instagram page revealing that he’s knee-deep in a Pink Floyd journey that took him to listen to the legendary 1974 performance of Pink Floyd at the Empire Pool Wembley. According to Portnoy, the show has the best setlist for the band since it includes iconic songs such as ‘Shine On You Crazy Diamond,’ ‘Raving and Drooling,’ and ‘Dark Side of the Moon.’
