Mick Jagger On Harry Styles Comparisons: ‘I Was More Androgynous’
The Rolling Stones frontman Mick Jagger recently addressed the comparisons between him and Harry Styles. He stated that Styles is not comparable to him and pointed out the differences.
Harry Styles is currently one of the biggest pop stars after he emerged from X factor and established a boyband career with One Direction. The band split after seven years, and its members ventured off into their solo careers. Styles also became known as a solo artist, reaching success with his releases.
Since his appearance on the X factor, people have resembled him in The Rolling Stone’s Mick Jagger. People think the two musicians look like each other thanks to Style’s curly hair, extravagant outfits, and stage charm. Moreover, Jagger and Styles previously met, and they even have a photo together, but unlike everyone else, Jagger doesn’t see the resemblance.
Jagger recently spoke about this similarity and pointed out their differences. He stated that in his prime years, he wore more eye make-up and was more androgynous. The Rolling Stones icon also said that Styles doesn’t have a voice like him or has his iconic dance moves on stage. He ended his note by saying that Styles has a superficial resemblance to his younger self.
Here are Jagger’s words:
“I mean, I used to wear a lot more eye make-up than him. Come on. I was much more androgynous. And he doesn’t have a voice like mine or move on stage like me; he just has a superficial resemblance to my younger self, which is fine. He can’t help that.”
While Jagger thinks that Styles slightly resembles his younger self, the pop star indicated a couple of times that Jagger is one of his biggest inspirations when it comes to fashion. He also attended Saturday Night Live and made Jagger impressions, something many fans had waited to see for a long time.
