Mick Fleetwood has shared a heartfelt message for his late bandmate, Christine McVie.

Two years after McVie’s passing, her bandmates continue to remember her. Fleetwood wrote in a post on X, “Two years ago, we lost our Christine. She was truly one of a kind. Christine’s gift was not just in her songs, but in the way she made us all feel. I’ll never stop missing you, Christine. All of my love.”

The cause of death was revealed to be a massive stroke, triggered by an aggressive form of cancer that had spread throughout her body.

McVie’s passing was mourned by her Fleetwood Mac bandmates. They both shared statements on X, celebrating her talent and friendship.

This year, Stevie Nicks stated that Fleetwood Mac is finished after McVie’s passing, as she believes the band cannot continue without her. Although the band carried on without McVie from 1998 to 2014, it placed extra pressure on Nicks and Lindsey Buckingham. Even after reconciling with Buckingham in 2023, Nicks confirmed there won’t be a final tour due to Buckingham’s health issues.

McVie joined the band in 1970 and played a key role in their success with her musical contributions. She left the band after their 1998 reunion tour but returned in 2014, performing with them until 2019. Alongside her work with Fleetwood Mac, McVie also had a solo career and collaborated with Lindsey Buckingham on an album in 2017.
