Ozzy Osbourne recently announced that he had decided to cancel his upcoming tour and retire. So, when Michael Starr was asked about the Prince of Darkness’ decision to call it quits while chatting with Andy Hall, the Steel Panther frontman couldn’t help but compare the rocker’s retirement to Tom Brady’s.

It’s been sort of an inside joke between football fans to ask when Brady would call it quits. Thus, when the quarterback recently stated that he was to retire via social media, it wasn’t an exact surprise for his fans though still, many were caught off guard. Well, Tom surely has meant a lot to an average football enthusiast, whether they might be a fan or not. So, his retirement from the football field has made a tremendous impact.

Very understandably, Starr resembled Osbourne’s recent decision to retire to Brady’s since both the rocker and the quarterback has been important figures in their respective fields. For the vocalist, Ozzy’s retirement was a big deal in the music scene as he had influenced him and many other musicians for decades.

Although it wasn’t shocking that Osbourne couldn’t make it with his upcoming tour due to his ongoing health problems, it was still startling for Michael to learn about the rocker’s retirement. However, the Steel Panther vocalist accepted that everybody needed to move on when the right time came and wished well to Ozzy.

The singer shared his comments on Osbourne’s decision to retire:

“Yeah, it really is a big deal. It’s like Tom Brady retiring from football; if you’re into football. It’s, like, ‘What?’ It’s coming to an end. And I’m happy that he’s happy and he’s moving on with his life. It comes to an end for everybody, eventually. And I wish him well. I wish he was still playing because we had shows booked with him. That’s not gonna work out. But it is what it is, and I wish him well.”

The Prince of Darkness’ decision to call it quits was not a much shocking announcement for many; however, it was still heartbreaking. Previously, Ozzy had convinced us all with his eagerness to take on touring for the last time before retiring, but many were also aware that his health and age might have gotten in the way. Well, Starr resembled Osbourne’s leave to Brady’s, a veteran quarterback, as Ozzy is now also a veteran all-star rocker.
