Michael Jackson’s Son Prince Doesn’t Mind People Comparing Drake To His Father

Michael Jackson’s son Prince Jackson talked about the comparison between Michael and famous rapper Drake during a recent appearance on toofab.

Drake recently released his brand new record, ‘Certified Lover Boy,’ which is his sixth studio album. It sold 613,000 album-equivalent units, which equals 46,000 album sales, and it debuted No. 1 on several charts such as Billboard 200 and UK Albums. Following the success of his record, Drake started being compared to legendary musicians on social media.

One of the musicians that fans compared him to the most was the late star Michael Jackson, who sold millions of records around the world. In the conversation, Prince shared his opinion about this interesting comparison and explained why Drake’s achievements will never match his father’s.

Nonetheless, he didn’t forget to applaud Drake’s success in the music industry and stressed that they belong to different eras. As Prince said, even though Drake has achieved a high amount of sales and success with ‘Certified Lover Boy,’ Michael’s accomplishments during his time will never be matched again.

Prince’s thoughts about Drake versus Michael Jackson:

“I mean everybody has their own definition of great, and all respect to Drake everything that he does. But what my father and my family accomplished, in the time that they did it, is very unlikely never to be matched again.”
