Metallica Shares TikTok Duet Of ‘Master Of Puppets’ With Eddie Munson
Following the band’s ‘Master of Puppets’ appearance in the ‘Stranger Things’ season finale, Metallica has posted a new TikTok video of the four group members playing with the show’s Eddie Munson.
Metallica released ‘Master of Puppets‘ as the only single from the album of the same name on July 2, 1986. All four band members wrote the song, which deals with the eventual side effects of drugs on an individual’s life. It has been the group’s most popular live song, frequently played at concerts. As one of the most recognizable songs from the band, various artists and bands have performed different versions of the song.
The Metallica classic also recently appeared in the finale of the fourth season of Netflix’s ‘Stranger Things.‘ The famous show’s metalhead Eddie Munson played the track in the Upside Down to distract the Demobats. Following the show’s use of the popular song, Metallica shared an Instagram post and said they were delighted to see the track in such an important scene. They were mesmerized by the performance and felt honored to be a part of Eddie’s journey through this season.
The band has again embraced the use of the band’s music in the popular show, now with a TikTok video in which the four members played a duet with Eddie Munson on ‘Master of Puppets.’ They wrote in the caption that it was for the character Eddie. In the split-screen video, fans see the band members mime to the track on the left, while there is footage of Munson playing the song in the show’s scene on the right side.
The caption of the post follows:
“Eddie… this is for you!”
