Melvins Release The Music Video For Their Cover Of Soundgarden’s ’Spoonman’

Melvins took their official Instagram account to announce that they recorded a cover version of Soundgarden’s ‘Spoonman.‘ The band also shared an official music video of the cover song on their Youtube channel.
Alongside Soundgarden, Melvins also stood out among the grunge pioneers during the late 1980s and the early 1990s. They greatly influenced the grunge scene, and the band released their latest and first acoustic album, ‘Five Legged Dog,’ on October 15, 2021.
Melvins recently released a new EP named ‘Lord of the Flies‘ on January 10, 2022. The EP includes four tracks in total. Two of the songs will also take place in the band’s upcoming album, which will be released later this year. On January 3, the first song from the EP called ‘Never Say You’re Sorry’ dropped. The cover song ‘Spoonman’ is also a track from this EP.
The band now announced that the ‘Spoonman’ cover featuring Soundgarden drummer Matt Cameron is out and advised their fans to check it out. The official music video of the cover is also available on their Youtube channel. Melvins mostly tried to remain faithful to the original version which was the first single of Soundgarden’s fourth studio album, ‘Superunknown.’
