Static-X Shows Support

Upon seeing Megan’s post, Static-X responded, re-sharing the video with their followers and, adding a prayer hands emoji, and writing:

“Cold!”

While Static-X expressed their support, the reaction among rock and metal fans in the comments of Megan’s post was mixed, with some expressing dismay at the crossover. One fan said:

“Please, God, no, no, don’t take Static-X from me; please, it’s all I have left.”

Another one mentioned the late Static-X’s frontman Wayne Static, writing:

“Wayne should be alive right now.”

Megan’s Foray Into Rock And Metal

Stallion is no stranger to the rock and metal genres. Before this video, she collaborated with metalcore band Spiritbox on a remix of her track ‘Cobra.’ In the realm of hip-hop, rumors of a rift between Megan Thee Stallion and Nicki Minaj have surfaced following perceived jabs at Minaj in Megan’s new track ‘Hiss.’

The song ‘Cold’ by Static-X holds a special place in the band’s discography. Originally featured on their second album, ‘Machine,’ it also made an appearance in a different version on the soundtrack for ‘Queen of the Damned.’
