Jen Keenan, wife of Tool frontman Maynard James Keenan, marked a significant health milestone with an emotional message shared on social media.
The post reflects on Jen Keenan’s five-year anniversary of beating breast cancer, touching on her journey, those she has lost along the way, and her gratitude toward her husband.
“Today is my 5 year milestone beating breast cancer,” Jen Keenan said. “It’s taken me that long to love this photo. As the medicines and Dr visits start to diminish maybe I’ll stop counting but I’ll never stop reliving that abstruse feeling and elation on this day.”
She went on to remember others affected by the disease.
“My heart will always goes out to those in the trenches and loved ones left behind,” she continued. “Miss you Jan, Jackie, Soren, Ray, Wendy and so many more.”
Jen Keenan closed her message with a note of appreciation for her husband.
