Maynard James Keenan Cries Like Baby Wearing Diapers In New Weird Cover Art
Tool’s frontman Maynard James Keenan is set to release live recordings of his 50th birthday concerts, with an album cover that’s sure to leave a lasting impression.
Scheduled for release on March 22, the album, titled ‘Cinquanta: A 50th Birthday Celebration For Maynard James Keenan Live,’ features a cover depicting the rocker as a baby wearing a discolored diaper, complete with his feet in the foreground and him crying in a cot.
Preorder And Album Details
Fans looking forward to this unusual offering can place their preorders through the Puscifer website. The live album, recorded back in 2014, promises a nostalgic journey through Keenan’s musical career, capturing the essence of his milestone birthday celebrated at the Greek Theatre in Los Angeles.
The concert featured collaborative performances by members of Puscifer and A Perfect Circle, delivering renditions of songs from their collective discographies. The event also featured a performance by Failure, fulfilling one of Keenan’s bucket list wishes for a reunion of the alt-rock band. Back in the day, Maynard expressed his gratitude for the reunion, saying:
“This was the perfect opportunity to tick off one of my bucket list items in the form of a Failure reunion. What better birthday present could one ever hope for?”
Collaborative Performances And Future Plans
During the celebration, the singer joined Failure on stage for several tracks, including ‘The Nurse Who Loved Me,’ ‘Solaris,’ and ‘Blank.’ As Keenan approaches another decade milestone, he has already laid out plans for his 60th birthday.
The upcoming ‘Sessanta’ tour will see him performing across America with Puscifer, A Perfect Circle, and Primus from April 2 to May 4. Following this, Keenan and Tool are set to embark on a European tour, continuing to bring their music to fans worldwide.
