Tool frontman Maynard James Keenan has announced a special show with no headliners and no openers.

The news was shared on the singer’s official Instagram account as a video message. For the one-time show, three bands will be coming together to celebrate a one-time thing: With the show, Keenan will be celebrating his 60th birthday. The details were shared in the video:

“Greetings from the Puscifer Entertainment hive mind. We’re looking forward to seeing you all at Sessanta. A celebration of Maynard James Keenan’s 60th birthday, featuring Puscifer, Primus and A Perfect Circle. There is no opener. There is no headliner. We will all share the stage. We play a few songs. They play a few songs. Then we play a few songs. Occasionally, we join each other on songs. We may even play new songs. New songs. It’s going to be a celebration like no other. Hope to see you there.”

The Same Lineup Came Together In 2014 Too

Named Sessanta, the 2024 tour is a nostalgic reference to Keenan’s 50th birthday event, Cinquanta. Initially intended as a one-time collaboration featuring A Perfect Circle, Puscifer, and Primus in Los Angeles, the upcoming trek pays homage to that special celebration.

The ensemble of musicians is set to come together once again for a series of seven West Coast tour dates in the upcoming spring. The tour will commence on April 17th, coinciding with Keenan’s actual birthday, in Phoenix and will conclude the following week with a two-night performance at the renowned Red Rocks Amphitheater in Colorado.

What adds an extra layer of significance is that these concerts will be A Perfect Circle’s first live shows since 2018, making the entire excursion even more special.
