Three Days Grace vocalist Matt Walst has confirmed that the band is already working on a follow-up to their 2025 album “Alienation,” according to a discussion shared on 100.3 The Bear Radio.
Walst discussed the band’s upcoming touring schedule before addressing plans for new material. He revealed that the group has already begun putting ideas together for their next record.
“After this month, we’re gonna take a couple months off, and then we’re back out on the road,” Matt Walst said. “But, yeah, we’ve already started getting ideas together and stuff. And, yeah, we’re gonna start writing a new record next year.”
The comments come as Three Days Grace continues touring in support of “Alienation,” an album that has already made a notable mark commercially since its release.
“Alienation” landed in the Top 40 of the Billboard 200, peaking at No. 38 on the US chart. The album performed even stronger on genre-specific rankings, climbing to No. 8 on Billboard’s Top Rock & Alternative Albums chart.
The record also resonated strongly with the band’s home audience in Canada, reaching No. 19 on the Canadian Albums chart.
“Alienation” extended its reach overseas as well. It hit No. 3 on the UK Rock & Metal Albums chart and also registered on the broader UK Albums Sales chart, peaking at No. 31.
