Matt Bellamy Announces Muse Is Starting To Work On A New Studio Album
Muse lead singer Matt Bellamy shared a post on his official Instagram page revealing pictures from his 42nd birthday with his bandmates, bassist Christopher Wolstenholme, and drummer Dominic Howard while announcing that the band is working on a brand new album as well.
As some of you might know, Muse was formed in 1994 with three band members including Matt Bellamy, Christopher Wolstenholme, Dominic Howard all of which have been working together since the formation. The band has been so successful with its alternative sound that it has won countless awards including two Grammys, two Brit Awards, five MTV Europe Music Awards, and more as well as selling more than 20 million awards worldwide
It’s been nearly three years since Muse released an album, the last being the band’s eighth studio album, ‘Simulation Theory’ released on November 9, 2018. The record received favorable reviews both from music critics and fans as it found itself a place as the twelfth on US Billboard 200 and fourth place on US Top Rock Albums.
After the release of the album, Muse hit the road under the name of the ‘Simulation Theory World Tour’ which began in Houston on February 22, 2019, and ended on October 15, 2019, in Lima. The tour which grossed $102 million, selling more than 1.3 million tickets with 53 reported dates also included numerous musicians such as Tom Morello, Walk the Moon, Nothing But Thieves as the opening acts.
Recently, Muse lead singer shared a post on his official Instagram page revealing incredibly adorable pictures from his 42nd birthday with the other band members Christopher Wolstenholme and Dominic Howard. As the bandmates who have been working together for nearly three decades seemed genuinely happy and close in the photos, Matt Bellamy also announced thrilling news to his fans and stated that now that they all are together for his birthday, they can start working on a new record.
