Previously, Mark Hoppus posted a photo with the caption ‘one cancer treatment, please‘ but deleted it, so his fans and friends thought it was a joke. Then, Hoppus revealed that he was diagnosed with cancer, stage four diffuse large B-cell lymphoma, in March and was fighting this terrible disease for three months. His fans and friends were devastated upon hearing the news.

However, they kept showing their support to the Blink-182 vocalist, especially his bandmates and longtime friends, Tom DeLonge and Travis Barker. The musicians always took care of their friend and helped him get through these challenging times. Throughout this process, Hoppus didn’t give up and was sure that he would defeat cancer. Finally, he gave the good news to his fans, saying that he is cancer-free now and will get better with time.

In his recent IG post, Mark Hoppus recalled the time he was receiving chemotherapy by posting a photo to celebrate everyone’s Thanksgiving. Even though he defined that process as uncertain and terrifying, the singer learned many things from that terrible experiences. He unveiled that he asked his friends to show him that photo whenever he starts complaining about a trivial situation because it will ‘remind him of how bad things can be.’

Hoppus’ IG story read:

“I have so much to be thankful for today. This photo is from June, halfway through chemo, no idea if it was working or not, relegated to the bathroom floor, retching. If I ever complain about something trivial or unimportant, please show me this photo to remind me of how bad things can be, and how truly blessed I am.

I hope you all have an amazing day with friends and family. Happy Thanksgiving.
