Marilyn Manson recently opened up about his feelings toward Christmas. He shared his thoughts in an interview with TMZ while heading through LAX airport.

The rock star was asked about whether he gets into the Christmas spirit. He revealed a surprisingly festive side despite his self-described nature.

When asked, “Do you get into the Christmas spirit at all?” Manson responded candidly about his holiday approach.

“Yeah. I leave that [the decorations] up to her [my wife, Lindsay],” Manson said. “[It’s] not quite [decorated] yet. I am a Grinch but I do like Christmas.”

The admission shows a softer side of the controversial musician. He acknowledged that while he may have Grinch-like tendencies, he does appreciate the holiday season and delegates the decorating duties to his wife, Lindsay.

This revelation comes at a time when Manson has been making more public appearances and sharing personal insights about his life and preferences.

AOL reported that Manson’s Grinch-like characteristics extend beyond just decorations. He specifically dislikes Christmas music, Christmas decorations, roast turkey, and traditional holiday dinners. Despite these aversions, he still finds ways to enjoy the season.

The musician’s comparison to the famous Dr. Seuss character appears to be quite fitting. Soap Central noted that when asked about his house being completely decorated with presents under the trees, Manson confirmed he leaves such festive preparations entirely to his spouse.

This candid discussion about his holiday preferences shows a more relatable side of the shock rock performer. He has built his career on dark, theatrical imagery that contrasts sharply with traditional Christmas cheer.

The interview demonstrates how even artists known for their controversial personas can have surprisingly conventional aspects to their personal lives. This is particularly true when it comes to family traditions and holiday celebrations.
