Many people assume that successful artists have managed to follow their dreams and fulfill them. However, most rarely think that there are decisions that artists may also regret. Who would have thought that one of rock’s most swooned-over vocalists, Måneskin’s Damiano David, has regrets? It’s probably news to most, but apparently, the singer wishes he’d learned the piano growing up.
“Not learning how to play piano when my mom signed me to piano lessons,” admitted David when asked about his biggest regret by Vanity Fair. “I was just a mean child. [I said] ‘I don’t want to do it; I want to play football.’” After deciding to pursue a career as a musician, the lead vocalist seems to have regretted that response and wishes he’d listened to his mother.
He said, “So, now I’m average at playing football, but I can’t play the piano, and I think the opposite would have been better.” David playing the piano would have certainly been a bonus, but that doesn’t take anything away from the electric stage performances he gives show after show.
By the way, if you are looking to catch a show by the band and see David up close, well, the band has been touring all year and has several dates lined up in the new year as well. It’s not too late to catch them on the road, plus they are counting down the days to release their next studio album ‘Rush,’ dropping in January. You wouldn’t want to miss the chance to be on one of the first shows to hear new tracks live, would you?
