Synyster Gates has been married to M. Shadows’ sister-in-law for years, and during the recent episode of the Marvin Podcast, the frontman broke his silence about their marriage.
The two bandmates have been married to the twins for several years, but they have rarely discussed their marriages publicly. In the recent interview, M. Shadows reflected on the day he first met the twins. He shared the story of how both Gates and himself met their future wives and elaborated on the details of their marriages:
“I met Val [Sanders] Michelle [Haner]. Brian [Synyster] was also part of that group. So he met Val and Michelle through our friend group, who ended up marrying. Joe, who is the head of our Web 3 initiative, runs bit flips. He turned out to be a cyber security expert, moved to San Francisco, did that for years, and then came back down. So all these people we work with and our good friends met like in sixth grade. So me and Val hit it off right away we’ve been together or best friends, friends with benefits since sixth grade.”
As it turns out, the two parties live really close to each other for a certain reason:
“Brian had to court Michelle, and Michelle was harder to get than Val was for me. Throughout high school, they would play tag, and basically, eventually, Brian got her. So now I’m married to one he’s married to the other we’re now we’re brother and sister-in-laws and it’s awesome we live two minutes from each other because the twins can’t be away from each other yeah, and so it’s literally their kids are at our house our kids are at their house we do everything together.”
The Details Of Shadows’ Marriage
Shadows and Valary exchanged their vows on October 17, 2009. It has been 15 years since the couple tied the knot. The vocalist and his wife have two children, both boys. Their first son, River Sanders, was born in July 2012, and approximately two years later, M. Shadows and his partner welcomed their second son, Cash Sanders, in August 2014.
The children often make appearances on their mother’s social media profiles. A glance at Valary’s Instagram suggests that the couple’s kids are being homeschooled.
Gates’ Marriage With Michelle
On May 7, 2010, Synyster Gates tied the knot with Michelle in Mexico. Despite some rumors suggesting Gates’ divorce due to alleged infidelity, various interviews and online posts attest to their happiness and dismiss any claims of cheating.
His wife describes Synyster Gates as a loving husband, and their first child, Nicolangelo Saint James Haner, was born on May 12, 2017, also known as ‘Nicci.’
In contrast to her husband and twin sister, Michelle prefers to keep her private life away from the public eye and has set her Instagram account to private and has never chosen to make her account public.
