Linkin Park’s Mike Shinoda Shares His New Collaboration With World Of Warcraft

Recently, World of Warcraft and Mike Shinoda of Linkin Park collaborated to make an incredible remix of ‘Arthas, My Son.’ In honor of the holiday season, one of the most iconic songs from ‘World of Warcraft: Wrath of the Lich King Classic’ was given an excellent remix. WOW thanked Shinoda by announcing part of the song on its official Twitter account, and Shinoda replied.

Shinoda, who has been active on social media and the world of NFTs, has also reached out to gamers by contributing to the new version of the WOW hit. The rocker’s tweet read, “Delighted to have put my take on ‘Arthas My Son’ for the Wrath of the Lich King soundtrack.”

This isn’t the frontman’s first collaboration for a video game. When Linkin Park took a hiatus after Chester Bennington’s death in 2017, Shinoda began making his own music. One of these solo materials was featured in the game Animal Crossing. The musician, who regularly did livestreams on Twitch during his solo time, composed a tune using KK Slider from Animal Crossing, and it sounded adorable. The feedback was good, as many players enjoyed picturing the dog character playing this song live.

After this first try with a video game, Shinoda and Blizzard have now collaborated to create this exciting rendition of ‘Arthas, My Son.’ The remix incorporates recognizable song patterns that any fan of Linkin Park would instantly know. When coupled with the iconic heartbreaking theme from Wrath of the Lich King, it takes listeners on a familiar and fresh journey.
