Orgy frontman Jay Gordon recently joined an interview with KCAL 96.7’s RadioActive Mike Z. for his Wired in the Empire weekend radio show and revealed Linkin Park’s comeback plans with a female singer.
Orgy was the first band to tour with Linkin Park, and later, Gordon remixed one of their songs, ‘Pts.OF.Athrty,’ for their ‘Reanimation’ album. The singer hinted at something happening with Linkin Park during the talk:
“Very, very cool guys and obviously a great band. They’ve been around a long time and they’re still going for it. It’s going to be tough without Chester [Bennington], but we’ll see. I hear they got a girl singer now. That’s what I heard.”
The New Singer’s Identity Is Uncertain

After Mike Z. asked if the band might come back, Gordon added:
“Don’t quote me on that. I’m not sure who the singer is going to be, but I heard it was gonna be female. They might just try to move on like that. That ought to be interesting.”
Mike Shinoda Speaks On A Potential Comeback

Linkin Park has been on a break since Bennington passed away. During a 2022 Twitch livestream, Mike Shinoda stated that he keeps in touch with the band, but they’re not currently planning anything. The musician explained:
“The only Linkin Park news I have for you is that… Yeah, we talk every few weeks — I talk to the guys, or some of the guys. And there’s no tours, there’s no music, there’s no albums in the pipeline. Okay, so let me just tell you that. So just keep in your minds that that is not happening.”
He went on to warn against getting too excited too soon:
“I’m just gonna say that much for now. I say that because anytime the band says anything or does anything, everyone tries to start up the hype train, and we’re, like, ‘No, no, no, no. Don’t start up the hype train.’ You’re gonna disappoint yourself. Don’t do that.”
Shinoda revisited some of the band’s songs by jamming with musicians from different countries over the past year. They released these sessions as the ‘Already Over Sessions’.
