Bon Jovi Joins Global Citizen’s Stand Up For Ukraine Campaign By Performing ‘We Don’t Run’

Bon Jovi recently joined the artists who support Global Citizen’s Stand Up For Ukraine campaign and performed their song ‘We Don’t Run’ for the pledging event.

The war in Ukraine has left millions of Ukrainians without a safe place to live. While many of them seek shelter in bunkers or try to fight back to protect their country, others, primarily women, children, and the elderly, have nothing left but to try to migrate to other countries as refugees.

Recently, Global Citizen organized a social media rally named Stand Up For Ukraine ahead of the global pledge event on April 9th in Warsaw. The Stand Up For Ukraine campaign began after Ukraine President Volodymyr Zelensky asked for help for people affected by the Russian invasion.

Known for his heartfelt philanthropy, Jon Bon Jovi is also among the many artists who support the campaign. In his video message, Jovi said the world needs the world leaders to take immediate action to help displaced people from Ukraine and other parts of the world.

Jovi then questioned whether they would stand up for Ukraine and provide the funding they would need at the global pledge event in Warsaw. The singer asked his fans to join the Stand Up For Ukraine social media rally and shared a live performance of Bon Jovi’s ‘We Don’t Run’ to support the campaign.

In his video message, Jon Bon Jovi said:

“I’m Jon Bon Jovi, and I’m standing up for Ukraine. We need you [world leaders] to answer the call from activists and advocates working to support refugees and take immediate action to help displaced people from Ukraine and around the world.

So, when you meet on April 9th in Warsaw to decide how much funding you’ll give to support, will you stand up for refugees everywhere and contribute the billions that they need?

I’m asking everyone who sees this video to amplify this call on April 8th to the Stand Up For Ukraine social media rally: post yourself, share a video from an activist or share this video so that all of our leaders know that the world needs you to stand up for Ukraine and support refugees.
