Linkin Park are already looking toward their next chapter, with Joe Hahn confirming that the band has returned to the studio to work on new music following the release of their comeback album, From Zero.
The band made their long-awaited return with From Zero in November 2024, marking their first album with new vocalist Emily Armstrong following the death of Chester Bennington in 2017. After spending much of the following period touring in support of the record, Linkin Park have apparently wasted little time getting back into the creative process.
During a new interview, Joe Hahn revealed that the band members were already using their days off on tour to experiment with new ideas in the studio. Rather than simply waiting until the touring cycle was over, the musicians took every opportunity they had to continue creating together.
“Yeah, because we really enjoy being around each other, and we especially love the creation side of things and making music,” Hahn explained. “When we were touring in different cities, if there was a day off, we would go into studios just to tinker around with stuff. And when we finished touring, we decided to take a month off because we needed a break, but then we jumped right back into the studio.”
The comments make it clear that the creative chemistry within the current Linkin Park lineup has continued to grow since From Zero. After briefly stepping away following the demanding comeback and touring schedule, the band quickly found itself drawn back toward making music together.
When Hahn was asked whether fans could eventually expect another full-length Linkin Park album, he gave a clear answer — although he jokingly warned that the band’s next project may not be what everyone expects.
“Oh, yeah… and it’s going to be really slow and boring, and very polarising to everyone,” Hahn said with a laugh.
While Hahn offered no release date or further details about what the new material sounds like, his comments confirm that another Linkin Park album is already in the early stages of development.
For fans who wondered whether From Zero would be a one-off return or the beginning of a new era for Linkin Park, Hahn’s latest revelation offers a much more definitive answer: the band is still creating, and their next chapter is already taking shape in the studio.
