Mike Shinoda from Linkin Park has shared details about the band’s new song ‘Up From The Bottom’ on X (formerly Twitter).
“‘Up From The Bottom’ is here. In between tours, the band got together at my studio,” Shinoda said. “As we listened to demos, everyone kinda agreed we didn’t have the song we needed.”
“As we talked, I scribbled notes. When everyone went home, I started piecing things together at the piano,” he continued. “For days, I obsessively pulled at threads of unclear ideas, until a special one began to reveal itself.”
“One of the most satisfying things I get to experience is the moment when I play a new song for my band—knowing it’s unfinished, but confident it’s going to be special,” Shinoda added. “A huge thank you to my bandmates for their ideas, inspiration, and stellar performances on this one—and to Joe Hahn for yet another insane video.”
The band has released the new song on YouTube. Joe Hahn directed the accompanying music video. The release represents a significant milestone in the band’s ongoing creative journey.
Loudwire revealed that the deluxe edition of Linkin Park’s upcoming album ‘From Zero’ will feature ‘Up From The Bottom.’ The album’s release is set for May 16, 2025.
The band remains actively engaged in the music scene. This latest release demonstrates their commitment to creating new material while preserving their signature sound.
Joe Hahn, the band’s longtime collaborator, directed the music video. His visual storytelling complements the band’s musical evolution.
The band will embark on an extensive world tour in April. Their global return to live performances includes scheduled dates across North America and Europe.
