Korn’s Brian ‘Head’ Welch shared a new message on Instagram addressing his ‘brothers and sisters in the homosexual community’ and showed his support despite some people of faith criticizing them.
Brian Welch shared a video of a man holding a sign that read, “God Hates F*gs.”
In the caption of his post, he wrote, “The blind leading the blind. This is a perfect example of using ‘faith’ as a weapon for hate. These types of people love tossing around words like ‘antichrist,’ but they’re too blind to recognize they’re describing themselves. GOD IS LOVE.”
He continued, “If the motive of any person’s approach isn’t based on love, then they become as meaningless as the hate they preach. To my brothers and sisters in the homosexual community: God obviously values your life as much as anyone else’s on this planet. It’s impossible for him to carry hatred towards you. GOD. IS. LOVE. Which means His heart is always open to you.”
Korn’s Brian ‘Head’ Welch wrote a message to the LGBTQ+ community about how some people of faith wrongfully criticize them. He also expressed his support for the community.
Welch’s Christian faith has been a central part of his life since he left Korn in 2005 to pursue sobriety and a born-again Christian walk, a journey he still discusses openly—with Welch clarifying that while he once admits he may have “gone too far” with zeal early on, he maintains a deep, personal relationship with God rather than renouncing his faith.
Regarding LGBTQ people, Welch has publicly urged tolerance from his Christian followers; after meeting transgender fans and praying with them, he called out judgmental responses and encouraged believers to “open their hearts” and avoid harsh condemnations tied to interpretations of Sodom and Gomorrah, emphasizing compassion over immediate judgment.
