Korn guitarist Brian Welch shared his perspective on spirituality and personal faith in a video message on Instagram.

“Go straight to God yourself, He’s got living water that hits harder than any high,” Welch said. “Forget the religious stuff, just go right to the source.”

“Why I love the scriptures is that,” he continued. “I know there’s a lot of hypocrites out there that misuse the scriptures and judge and say all these crazy stuff just to control people.”

“But if you get past that and move them out of the way and go straight to Jesus yourself, He will give you this living water and you will experience it yourself. Don’t worry about this religious. Don’t worry about the idiots. Don’t worry about hypocrites out there,” Welch added.

Welch’s statement reflects his spiritual journey since leaving Korn in 2005. He later returned to the band in 2013.

Metal Injection revealed Welch’s perspective on rejoining Korn. He emphasized his spiritual guidance, stating, “I did that, I followed God right back into Korn.”

His spiritual transformation found documentation in his memoir. Goodreads featured his detailed journey from addiction to finding faith.

Welch maintains a unique position in metal music. He successfully balances his religious beliefs with his role in one of metal’s most prominent bands. His example shows that spirituality and heavy music can coexist.

His latest statement reinforces his consistent message. He continues to encourage direct spiritual connection while acknowledging the potential barriers within organized religion.
