Brian ‘Head’ Welch recently shared an unusual story about his time on tour with Korn. The story involved a forgotten food item discovered by bandmate Jonathan Davis. The anecdote was shared on Instagram.

A burrito had been left in Welch’s car glove box. Davis unexpectedly found it during a ride together. Welch explained what happened when the discovery was made.

“One time he [Jonathan Davis] got in my car and we opened the glove box and there was like a burrito in there. And I go, ‘Oh, a burrito!’ And I took it and I started eating it. It was still good, though,” Welch said.

Davis was visibly surprised by the unusual find. He offered his reaction to the discovery.

“That is the oddest thing I ever seen in my life,” Davis added.

Welch humorously defended his approach to food storage and expiration dates in the video caption. He wrote: “I’m confused why everyone panics about expiration dates. I mean… meat and cheese don’t even start to spoil for like two weeks, right?”

The burrito anecdote offers a lighthearted glimpse into the day-to-day experiences of touring musicians. This lifestyle has defined much of Brian Welch and Jonathan Davis’s careers with Korn. Over the years, the band’s extensive touring schedule has produced countless stories—some humorous, others far more serious—that reflect the intensity and unpredictability of life on the road.

Korn’s live performances have long been known for their high-energy atmosphere and passionate fanbase. However, this intensity has occasionally extended beyond the stage. In 2022, Revolver Magazine reported that Korn’s tour bus was struck by gunfire from an unidentified shooter. Fortunately, no band members were injured in the incident. This harrowing experience underscores some of the genuine dangers that touring musicians face while traveling between cities.

Korn’s concerts have sometimes been marked by chaotic moments in the crowd. A 2006 incident in Atlanta saw a fan severely beaten near the mosh pit. TMZ documented that the fan had reportedly asked two men to be careful. This incident highlights how the intensity of Korn’s live shows can occasionally spill over into confrontations among attendees. More recently, Rock News covered a bizarre moment during a 2025 Korn concert that went viral. A fan’s indecent act turned the show into an unforgettable—and uncomfortable—spectacle.

Despite these more serious incidents, the burrito story shared by Welch reminds fans that touring also involves countless mundane, quirky, and ultimately harmless moments. A forgotten burrito in a glove box stands in stark contrast to some of the more dramatic events that have occurred during Korn’s decades-long career on the road. For Welch and Davis, these everyday occurrences are just as much a part of the touring experience as the performances themselves.
