Korn Announces They’re Replacing Bassist Fieldy With Suicidal Tendencies Ra Diaz For Their Upcoming Tour

Korn recently posted a photo on their Instagram account and finally revealed who will be filling in for the band’s bassist Fieldy, who had announced that he relapsed some months ago, and while some fans expressed their excitement for the band’s upcoming tour, others said they would’ve preferred someone else.
As you probably know, the world-renown nu-metal band was going to embark on the Faith No More tour in 2020 but it, unfortunately, got postponed due to Covid-19. Even though fans thought the band was going to reschedule the tour for 2022, Korn excited their fans in May upon announcing that they’ll do a 28-date tour with Staind this year and they’ll be joined by ’68 and Fire From the Gods on select dates.
Nonetheless, shortly after this announcement, Fieldy posted a photo on his Instagram account and revealed that he’s been going through a tough time. As a result, he’s decided to take a step back from performing so that he can concentrate on healing from his bad habits. This of course raised the question of who’ll fill in for him during the upcoming tour.
While some speculated that he’s going to be replaced by Mudvayne bassist Ryan Martinie, Korn proved them wrong with their recent post. As it turns out, Suicidal Tendencies bassist Ra Diaz will join Korn on stage so that Fieldy can take some time off to heal. While some fans said that Martinie would be a better choice, many argued that ‘Ra is one of a kind.’
Korn revealed the news in the caption of their recent Instagram post:
“We appreciate your kind words of support in response to the recent tour update about Fieldy. While our brother takes some time to heal, we wanted to let you know that we are bringing our friend Ra Diaz from Suicidal Tendencies out with us this summer to fill in on Korn bass duties. We’ve all been rehearsing to get ready to bring the heat, and we can’t wait to see you next month. Tickets available at Korn’s official website.”
A fan commented:
“Dude from Mudvayne is a better fit.”
To which a fan responded:
“Yeah but Mudvayne is back together and gonna be touring soon”
And another fan said:
“You’ll be amazed. Remember my words. Ra is one of a kind bass player.”
