Metallica lead guitarist Kirk Hammett shared a post on his official Instagram page revealing the screening premiere of the Peter Green Tribute concert in addition to announcing an upcoming deluxe box set related to the performance.

As many of you know, Fleetwood Mac founder and legendary musician Peter Green had a great influence on the music industry throughout his career that spanned over nearly six decades and was a major figure among many guitar players as legendary guitarists such as Eric Clapton and B.B. King both of which praised Green’s guitar playing multiple times.

Unfortunately, the iconic guitarist Peter Green passed away at the age of 73 on July 25, 2020, in his sleep, according to a statement from his family’s attorney-at-law, Swan Turton. The official statement did not reveal the cause of death or the location, however, fans were devastated after the heartbreaking death news of the legendary musician.

Fleetwood Mac leader Mick Fleetwood organized a tribute concert to Peter Green and the early years of the band on February 25, 2020, at the London Palladium, including performances from legendary musicians such as Neil Finn, Noel Gallagher, Billy Gibbons, David Gilmour, John Mayall, Christine Mcvie, Steven Tyler, and many more.

In addition to those artists, Kirk Hammett also joined the tribute concert as a performer and recently shared a post on his official Instagram page revealing a video including footage from the concert in addition to announcing the screening premiere date of this one-of-a-kind performance. Apparently, the tribute show is going to be aired on April 23 and a brand new deluxe box set is also going to be released on April 30.
