Kirk Hammett Praises Rob Trujillo’s Son Tye

Metallica guitarist Kirk Hammett recently took to his Instagram to support Rob Trujillo’s son Tye, saying he is proud of him.

The band’s bassist Rob Trujillo’s son Tye Trujillo recently lent his guitar skills for the Netflix series ‘Stranger Things’ by playing Metallica’s iconic song ‘Master Of Puppets.’ His father recently announced the news on his Instagram page, expressing his pride and thanking Kirk Hammett for helping.

‘Stranger Things’ is currently one of the most-streamed series on Netflix. On September 30, 2019, Netflix announced a fourth season of the series and split it into two volumes; Volume 1 aired on May 27, and Volume 2 aired on July 1, 2022. In the finale episode, fans had a chance to listen to ‘Master Of Puppets’ with guitar tracks played by Tye Trujillo.

In that episode, a character named Eddie Munson took the stage in ‘Stranger Things’ upside-down alternate universe and performed ‘the most metal concert ever.’ Among other songs, he also played Metallica’s ‘Master Of Puppets.’ However, it wasn’t Joseph Quinn who played the guitar parts; Rob Trujillo’s talented son Tye handled the guitar duties.

In his recent Instagram post, Kirk Hammett shared a picture of him and Tye and admitted he is proud of Tye Trujillo for pulling off the lead to ‘Master Of Puppets.’ As Tye is mainly an accomplished bassist, Hammett praised his bass guitar playing as well, describing his performance as impressive.

Kirk Hammett’s Instagram post read:

Very proud of my little bro Tye Trujillo who pulled off the lead to ‘Master Of Puppets’ for the Netflix show Stranger Things, and he’s not a guitar player, but a bass player just like his pop! Impressive!”
