The lead guitarist of Metallica, Kirk Hammett posted two pictures in a row with some of the most inspiring musicians of his career on Instagram, Led Zeppelin guitarist Jimmy Page and UFO guitarist Michael Schenker, in order to honor them on their birthdays.
For the last couple of days, several musicians and celebrities took their social media accounts to celebrate Led Zeppelin’s co-founder Jimmy Page’s birthday with their sincere messages. Page turned 77 years old on January 9th and the rock music community didn’t forget to honor the iconic guitarist on this special day.
Recently, Kirk Hammett, who is widely known for his admiration to Jimmy Page, posted a picture with the Led Zeppelin legend which was taken by the famous rock and roll photographer Ross Halfin. In the caption of his Instagram post, Hammett paid his respect to Page by mentioning that he has always been a source of inspiration for him and his music career. Kirk also wished Jimmy Page to have ‘many more with fine health and welfare’ as he ended his birthday message to one of his idols.

Furthermore, following his tribute to Jimmy Page, Kirk Hammett took his Instagram account to honor another one of his music inspirations, UFO guitarist Michael Schenker. In order to celebrate Michael’s 66th birthday, Kirk shared a picture with the legendary guitarist and mentioned how amazed he was seeing him still displaying amazing performances. He also stated that Schenker is such a unique person that can only be found one in a million.
