Cinderella Guitarist Jeff LaBar Has Passed Away At The Age Of 58

Cinderella icon Jeff LaBar’s son and Tantric lead guitarist, Sebastian LaBar, posted photos of his father to give the sad and devastating news about him on his official Instagram account. Sebastian announced that his father Jeff LaBar died on July 14, 2021, at the age of 58.

Jeff LaBar started his professional musical career in the iconic metal band Cinderella when he replaced the band’s original guitarist Michael Schermick in 1985. The band went into hiatus in 1995 in spite of the commercial success of their four studio albums ‘Night Songs,’ ‘Long Cold Winter,’ ‘Heartbreak Station, and ‘Still Climbing.’

In one of his previous interviews, Jeff LaBar revealed that he became heavily addicted to alcohol and various substances by giving the reason behind it. He stated that the problems in Cinderella caused him to be an addict for years however he got rid of it. Unfortunately, he died at the age of 58 even though he finally recovered from his addictions. Jeff LaBar was found dead in his Nashville apartment on July 14, 2021, but the cause of death hasn’t been announced yet.

The sad news was revealed by his guitarist son Sebastian LaBar via posting the photos of his father on his Instagram account. Sebastian stated that he learned about the death of his father through a phone call and wanted everyone to share the pictures and videos of his father. He reflected his sadness after he lost his idol, hero, and father, Jeff LaBar.

Here’s what he wrote in his Instagram post:

“So I just got the call… Jeff LaBar, my father, my hero, my idol, passed away today. I’m currently at a loss for words. I love you pop!  if you could, please share pictures or videos of all the fun times we all had with my dad. It would be greatly appreciated.
