Kid Rock Isn’t Afraid His Political Stance Will Harm His Music Career

As you know, Kid Rock is one of Trump’s most vocal supporters. Known for his exuberant personality on and off the stage, Kid Rock does not like to restrain himself when it comes to politics, and he openly defends everything he stands for, no matter how controversial some of these ideas are. The musician, who participated in the Club Random Podcast, made evaluations about this openly political stance and said that he did not think it would harm his music career.

“So people will tell, you know, like, ‘It’s politics, man,’” the rocker said while speaking about how controversial views can harm one’s career. “They’re going to f*ck up your business. I’m like, I don’t give a sh*t, and I’ve saved my money. I’m like, I can speak openly. You know?”

He continued, “So I said at the beginning of this, I did this little thing for the ‘Devil’s Tool’ social media, where I tape something. And I said, ‘I know I’m polarized, and I’m speaking my f*cking mind.’ And I know I speak for a lot of people who can’t, who are scared to lose their jobs.”

Recalling his friend’s suggestion, Kid Rock said, “One of the people I look up to so much in life, one of my musical heroes friends, Rev Run from Run DMC, told me one time, he said, ‘You know what you do best? You bring people together.’ And I said, after this tour, I want to get back to that because this country needs it. It just so happens. The last two shows are this weekend, coming up here in Nevada.”

While Trump supporters often clash with people of opposing views, that doesn’t seem to be the case for Kid Rock and his friends. “Last night, I went to dinner with Rande Gerber and Cindy Crawford. [Then] my old friends and my friends sent me these links to TMZ this morning. I’m like, ‘Oh, sh*t. I’m on TMZ again. Who the f*ck did I piss off now?’”

“And it was actually a nice piece,” said the musician with a smile. “It said, it said, you know, Cindy is a registered Democrat. Randy’s Independent. You know, their best friends with George Clooney and Molly, you know where they lie. And we’re all friends, and it just basically said, like, ‘Hey, you can all be friends and still so different.’”

It is known that many celebrities have criticized former president Donald Trump. However, names such as Ted Nugent, Kanye West, and Kid Rock have openly expressed that they support the politician’s views. Nugent and West are also known for their far-right political views. On the other hand, Kid Rock has previously commented on issues such as abortion and gun ownership and said that he supports the first and is not a supporter of the latter.

Moreover, Kid Rock doesn’t just support Trump only as a politician since their relationship isn’t limited to that. He and Trump’s friendship is also known; they have many photos playing golf together. In fact, Kid Rock opened one of his concerts with Trump’s words ‘Make America Rock Again.’ The rocker is clearly not afraid to use his art as a political tool and has sung in his rallies.
