Kevin Cronin just revealed some details about REO Speedwagon’s future.

Cronin responded to a fan’s question about something they’ve heard about the band’s future. This came after the band’s retirement announcement.

“One thing I wanted to point out that took me by surprise… KC said at the end of the show that they weren’t going anywhere and they would see us next year. Insinuating REO will continue touring come 2025. Spoiler alert I guess but I feel like the community deserves an explanation,” the user wrote in the comment section of one of Cronin’s Facebook posts.

“You heard right. I believe the official announcement from Live Nation will be coming on December 6. I am not free to call it REO Speedwagon, but let’s just say that if you liked what you heard and saw in Corbin, you will not be disappointed! Stay tuned,” he revealed.

Another user responded to the first comment, “Kevin has recently mentioned in some replies to fans comments that REO Speedwagon will still be the current 5 members. However, legally they have to change their name according to Bruce’s wife because Bruce is no longer with the band.”

The band quit touring due to irreconcilable differences. Since the band announced their decision, Cronin has been receiving backlash from fans. The most recent one came from not ‘honoring’ Bruce Hall. Cronin shared memories from his time with the record producer Quincy Jones and included a photo from that time. However, Bruce Hall was not in the picture, causing fans to ask questions about why he was missing.

When a user mentioned Hall and asked why he doesn’t ‘honor’ him. “Why can’t you honor your brother Bruce Hall?”

“Or maybe the question is, why can’t he honor me,” Cronin replied. When another user asked where Hall was, the guitarist added: “Maybe you should ask Bruce…”

While fans will have to wait until December 6 for the announcement, the band’s farewell tour is currently scheduled to end at The Venetian Theatre in Las Vegas, Nevada on December 21.
