Kevin Cronin Apologizes REO Speedwagon Fans For Show Cancelation

REO Speedwagon announced via Twitter that they wouldn’t be able to perform on the promised date due to an illness, and they are rescheduling the concert. Luckily, the illness is not serious and with a little delay, the band will keep on rockin’! Here’s the announcement:

“Regrettably, REO Speedwagon is forced to reschedule tonight’s performance in Auburn, WA due to illness. Fortunately, it is not serious, and the band looks forward to being with the fans in Auburn at a later rescheduled date. Any additional updates regarding Auburn and upcoming shows, if necessary, will be made on REO’s and venues’ sites and social media. Thank you for your understanding.”

Further explanation came from Kevin Cronin from the band’s Twitter account, apologizing for the rescheduling:

“Hi friends, resting in my bunk as we roll toward Northern California. I sure appreciate all the well-wishers here. Nothing serious, just a cold that began last Saturday in Modesto, hurt my American Idol performance on Sunday, and kicked my butt last night in Kennewick, WA. I managed to power through but could not answer the bell tonight in Auburn.”

He continued by showing his fans that he loves them all and understands the sacrifices they’ve made to see the band live:

“So my apologies to those who had plans to see us in Auburn, and especially to those who traveled some distance, hired babysitters, or took off of work. Believe me, if I could have done the gig…I would have. I never take our fans for granted, and it hurts me when I think of those of you who were inconvenienced or disappointed. It doesn’t happen often, but it sucks when we have to miss a show.”

Fortunately, he has nothing serious. Nothing a rockstar can’t shake off with a good rest and medicine. According to Cronin, he should be good as new by the weekend. He finished:

‘’I will be resting up for the next couple of days, taking my medicine, and ready to rock in Rohnert Park and Lincoln this weekend. And looking forward to rocking extra hard at the rescheduled show in Auburn on August 23rd.’’
