Kendall Jenner’s Favorite Rock And Metal Bands

The famous fashion model and reality star Kendall Jenner has built a remarkable career since her first appearance in the industry at the age of 14. Throughout her modeling career, she has walked for prominent brands like Chanel, Balmain, Michael Kors, Tommy Hilfiger, and Calvin Klein. Besides modeling, Jenner has also pursued other ventures and partnered with many leading companies and brands.

Kendall Jenner has attracted media attention, especially with the businesses she launched with her younger sister Kylie Jenner. They first entered the spotlight as businesswomen in 2012 with a fashion brand Kendall+Kylie. The brand has grown since its inception and now includes clothing, fashion jewelry, and handbags. As a fashion icon, Kendall has allowed her musical taste to be reflected in her dressing style and clothing business.

Which Rock And Metal Bands Does Kendall Jenner Like The Most?

While her fashion preferences may have changed over the years, Kendall Jenner has been consistent with her love for band T-shirts. The famous model has kept wearing colorful graphic T-shirts, giving her a cool look when paired with jeans or leggings. However, the media has discussed whether she is actually a fan of those artists or is just using them to look cool and edgy.

Jenner has appeared in the media wearing Metallica, AC/DC, and Slayer t-shirts, showing her admiration for these big names of the rock and metal world. In 2017, she carried this interest to business and launched a collection of vintage tees featuring prints of rock and metal acts like Metallica, Pink Floyd, the Doors, Black Sabbath, and Led Zeppelin under the Kendall+Kylie brand.

Yet, she inevitably faced immediate backlash following the launching of the t-shirt collection. For instance, Metallica frontman James Hetfield expressed his frustration about the issue in a 2017 interview with ET Canada. The singer said that the Jenner sisters’ use of his band’s images was ‘disrespectful.’ He would prefer them to ask for permission and show more respect for their years of hard work.

Here is what James Hetfield said about the Metallica T-shirts of Kendall Jenner:

“I guess what they were thinking is, ‘We can do whatever we want.’ To me, it’s disrespectful. We’ve spent 36 years working hard, doing our best to keep a really close connection with people, make every note count, and someone just throws something up over something that we feel… Not that it’s sacred or anything, but show some respect.”

Following the massive backlash and Hetfield’s statements, Kendall and Kylie Jenner shared a message on social media to apologize to the artists they may have offended. They admitted that they should’ve been more careful about their designs. Jenners revealed that they were huge fans of those artists, so they didn’t mean to disrespect them in any way.

Kendall and Kylie Jenner’s apology:

“These designs were not well thought out, and we deeply apologize to anyone that has been upset and/or offended, especially to the families of the artists. We are huge fans of their music, and it was not our intention to disrespect these cultural icons in any way. The t-shirts have been pulled from the sale, and all images have been removed. We will use this opportunity to learn from these mistakes, and again, we are very sorry.”

They didn’t just apologize but also pulled their t-shirt collection from their website after using their names without permission and facing serious legal threats. Some social media users applauded the Jenner sisters for taking action, whereas some others still questioned why the collection was approved in the first place.
