Wouldn’t you say that 2022 is the year of Kate Bush’s resurgence in the music world? For some, it may be; for others, Bush is a new and up-and-coming artist in the industry. After ‘Running Up That Hill’ was included on Netflix’s hit show Stranger Things, the song made waves and has topped charts years since its initial release.

“It’s been a crazy roller coaster year for me,” wrote Bush in her Christmas message to her fans on her official website. “I still reel from the success of RUTH, being the number 1 track of this summer. What an honor! It was exciting to see it doing so well globally, but especially here in the UK and Australia, and also to see it making it all the way to number 3 in the US.”

She added, “It was such a great feeling to see many of the younger generation enjoying the song. It seems that many of them thought I was a new artist! I love that! Again, thank you so much to everyone who supported the track and made it a hit.”
