During a video interview with Adidas Originals, Jonathan Davis admitted including his son’s audio in Korn’s ‘A.D.I.D.A.S.’
Speaking of the role of Adidas in sparking Korn’s creation of ‘A.D.I.D.A.S.,’ the singer explained:
“It was nothing. I think I started with a riff, and we did it. It was the second record, and I wrote this song. The acronym for it was ‘All Day I Dream About Sex,’ but it could be a million different things. You could say sports. But it’s just very immature and juvenile, and it was very representative of where we were at that point in time. I can’t believe Adidas approved that.”
A Personal Touch To The Song

Davis then shared a piece of lesser-known information that fans might find interesting, saying:
“In that song, when I performed it, when you listen, my first-born son Nathan was between my legs when I sang that song, and in the breakdown, you can hear him cooing in the background.”
The Choice Of Tracksuits

In October, Adidas Originals and Korn launched a new partnership and collection, celebrating their long-standing relationship. Thirty years ago, the California alt-metal band changed the music scene by wearing Adidas three-stripes tracksuits, inspiring fans and marking their style in ‘A.D.I.D.A.S.’ The reason Korn wore Adidas tracksuits was partially due to the influence of Run-DMC, as admitted by Davis. He elaborated on this point, saying:
“It was also about Korn always from the beginning going the opposite way and being rebellious, and even from the name of the band, we were never what you think a rock band should be, so what would be the polar opposite and at the time everyone was wearing leather and that was super edgy looking, so we would wear sportswear [laughs].”
The Cultural Blend

He continued, further detailing their style:
“It represented that old B-boy thing from New York. Most of the guys were all into hair metal back in the ’80s, but I was into old-school hip-hop and New York. That was that whole dancing, B-boy, Run-DMC, that was that influence, so that’s why I chose the tracksuit.”
In a November chat, Brian Welch also discussed their recent collaboration with Adidas. He mentioned that the band had always worn Adidas and tried to partner with them in 1997 but was rejected. Instead, they teamed up with Puma. Years later, some fans who grew up loving Korn and worked at Adidas pitched the idea again, and this time, Adidas agreed, making the band’s dream collaboration come true.
