Joe Walsh Praises Nine Inch Nails’ Trent Reznor, ‘An Extraordinary Artist’

Joe Walsh & Friends came together for VetsAid 2022 in Ohio this past Sunday. James Gang reunited for ‘One Last Ride’ with special guest Dave Grohl as well as performances from Nine Inch Nails, the Black Keys, and the Breeders. Joe Walsh had a chance to listen to NIN’s set at the concert, and the guitarist took to his Instagram to share his amazement with Trent Reznor’s talent.

“My son told me that I wouldn’t know how much I needed NIN until I saw them for myself,” said the musician and credited his son for foreseeing how much he would enjoy NIN’s performance. “He undersold them. An extraordinary artist, visionary, and gentleman. Thank you. Nine Inch Nails. Trent Reznor.”

Walsh came back home to Columbus for the VetsAid concert, where all the proceeds went directly to veterans’ services charities. Nine Inch Nails were one of the bands that took the stage, and it is clear that they genuinely amazed the Eagles icon.

After Joe Walsh saw Trent Reznor performing with the band, he understood his son’s obsession with them. The two musicians had a moment to talk backstage, and Joe praised his extraordinary talent and character, which shined through their conversation.
