Joe Elliott On Def Leppard’s Plan To Expand Their Tour With Mötley Crüe

Def Leppard recently shared the last episode of the band’s behind the Stadium Tour vlog series on their official YouTube channel, in which the singer Joe Elliott revealed their plans to extend it to other continents next year.

After a long wait due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the Stadium Tour, co-headlined by Def Leppard and Mötley Crüe, finally met the audience in the summer and fall of 2022. The extensive concert tour started in Cumberland, Georgia, on June 16 and ended in Las Vegas on September 9. The shows attracted so much attention from rock music lovers that it became the most profitable tour of both bands’ careers.

Although Mötley Crüe initially hesitated to accept the touring offer, they are now definitely satisfied with the positive reactions. Vince Neil said in an interview last month that everything was fabulous from the beginning to the tour’s final show, and they intend to continue touring with Def Leppard in the following two years. Leppard’s frontman Joe Elliott also confirmed Mötley members’ statements by expressing his desire to expand the Stadium Tour.

Elliott stated in the video shot before the final gig of the Stadium Tour that it went so well for both bands that they were very eager to extend it next year. The singer noted that they have already promised their fans to bring it to the United Kingdom, and they want to perform in South America, Asia, and Australia. Joe Elliott also said he was a little sad because it was the tour’s last show, and Queen Elizabeth II had just passed away.

Joe Elliott’s words on their upcoming tour plans:

“Captain’s log: star date September 9, 2022, Las Vegas, Nevada, the last night of the Stadium Tour, so far, because this is show 36 and it is all booked, but it has been very big. When something goes this well, there is always the opportunity to expand. We have already promised everybody in Europe, specifically in Great Britain, that we will bring it over there next year, which we are, but we will also take it to South America and hopefully Australia, Japan, and New Zealand.

There is a certain amount of melancholy for two reasons. One: it is the last night of the tour, and two: her majesty the Queen has just passed away yesterday. All British citizens are very sad about the fact that she is gone, but God bless her for being in our lives since we were born, but we move on. So, it is the case of God Bless the Queen, and God Save the King.”
