Jimmy Page And Girlfriend Scarlett Get Overwhelmed At The ‘Becoming Led Zeppelin’ Premiere

Led Zeppelin’s Jimmy Page recently returned from the Venice Film Festival and shared his experience on his Instagram account four days after his girlfriend, Scarlett Sabet. Page stated how overwhelmed he felt by the love he received from the audience.

Led Zeppelin is one of the most influential heavy metal and hard rock bands of all time, and their contribution to rock history was turned into a movie that details how their success increased throughout the years. ‘Becoming Led Zeppelin,’ the official documentary of the band, premiered at Venice Film Festival this week.

You may have seen that the band’s guitarist Jimmy Page’s girlfriend Scarlett Sabet shared some photos from the festival a few days ago and showed her and Page’s red carpet look. The fans loved the couple’s look and stated how excited they are to watch the film. Just some hours ago, Page also shared some photos from the festival and described how it was like to be there and watch the biopic.

He began by reassuring his fans that the necessary COVID precautions were taken and praised the audience. He stated that he experienced many feelings and emotions because of how connected the audience was to the biopic and how thankful he was for the standing ovations.

Here is his full text explaining how he felt at the Venice Film Festival:

“I recently returned from the Venice Film Festival where the world premiere of ‘Becoming Led Zeppelin’ was unveiled. With Bernard MacMahon (the director), Allison McGourty (producer of the film), and accompanied by Scarlett Sabet, we were about to feel the feedback of the documentary.

The first run was 2 pm on Saturday 4th September. The full capacity audience was already in the venue (Covid restrictions observed) before we were due to enter and welcome the audience and to say hello. There was a 10-minute standing ovation before a word was said. The audience bestowed such affection before the viewing, it was quite overwhelming.

As the film progressed the enthusiasm intensified, and certain sequences were followed by applause. The audience was really connected, and it was interesting to witness the communication and enthusiasm the event, and the film was generating. After the closing credits, the audience rose to their feet and gave us another standing ovation, a thank you that I can’t convey in words, but boy did I feel it.”

He continued by praising the press and thanking those who supported them by stating:

“That evening there was to be a midnight showing, and I wanted to attend that as well. Bernard and I introduced the film to another enthusiastic audience and another standing ovation. It was so energizing to feel the love, joy, and anticipation from the public. The world press from the next couple of days was equally encouraging. They had had a private viewing, so the questions were totally relative to the film documentary. The film had clearly touched the hearts of both audience and critics alike.

Thank you to the Venice Film Festival.
Thank you to the fans.
Thanks to you for your loyal support through the years.
Just now awaiting the announcement for the official release of the film and the day we can all see ‘Becoming Led Zeppelin.’
