Jerry Cantrell Announces That He Finished His New Solo Album: When Can We Expect Its Release?

Alice In Chains lead guitarist Jerry Cantrell shared a post on his official Instagram page announcing that his brand new solo album is now completed and he revealed that it’s going to be released pretty soon which led to his fans into the comments section thinking it most likely will be out by the end of the summer.

As you might remember, Jerry Cantrell has a solo career in addition to his tenure with Alice in Chains and he released two solo albums along with many appearances with other musicians and on film soundtracks. Cantrell’s debut solo album, ‘Boggy Depot,’ was released on April 7, 1998, and Cantrell took care of singing, played guitar, piano, clavinet, organ, and steel drums on the album.

Cantrell released his second solo album, ‘Degradation Trip’ in June 2002, and it received better reviews than the first album. It featured two singles, ‘Anger Rising,’ and ‘Angel Eyes,’ and the track ‘She Was My Girl’ which was included on the Spider-Man soundtrack.

His fans already knew Jerry Cantrell has been working on a brand new solo album for a year now and the good news came recently as he shared a post on his official Instagram page announcing that his album is completed by sharing a picture from the studio with former The Dillinger Escape Plan singer Greg Puciato, record engineer and producer Joe Barresi, among others.

In addition to this, Cantrell revealed that the album is going to be released sometime soon, however, did not give further details about the release date. Therefore his fans took the comments section stating that it should be released as soon as possible since they all are eager to listen to Cantrell’s new songs and many guessed the release date.

Here is what Cantrell said:

Finished my record tonight one year to the day from when we started recording it. What a crazy journey … always is. Look forward to setting it free upon your earholes sometime soon.”
