Twisted Sister guitarist Jay Jay French recently addressed the possibility of the band recording new music with Sebastian Bach. He shared his thoughts in an interview with Rock ‘N’ Blues Experience.
When asked whether there are plans to record new Twisted Sister music with Sebastian Bach on vocals, French pointed to a significant legal obstacle standing in the way.
“Are there plans to record new Twisted Sister music with Sebastian Bach on vocals?” the interviewer asked.
“Oh, that’s another question, because we don’t own the rights to that any longer. We sold the rights to that,” French said. “So I don’t know if we could or not. And we haven’t even thought about it.”
The rights issue adds another layer of complexity to an already unconventional chapter in Twisted Sister’s history. It began when the band’s longtime frontman stepped away from the stage for good.
Dee Snider stepped down due to degenerative arthritis. The condition has significantly affected his mobility and ability to perform. His departure opened the door for a new voice to carry the band’s legacy forward on tour.
Sebastian Bach is best known as the original frontman of Skid Row. He was brought in to fill that role, joining founding members Jay Jay French and Eddie Ojeda for select dates on Twisted Sister’s 2026 fall reunion tour.
French has made clear that the arrangement is still being evaluated in real time. He stated that fans would “ultimately decide” whether Bach is the right fit. The band is treating this tour as much as a test as a celebration.
Whether the pairing evolves beyond these scheduled dates remains to be seen. The combination of sold-off rights and an unsettled lineup makes new studio recordings a distant prospect at best — leaving the focus squarely on the live stage.
