Hatebreed frontman Jamey Jasta described the band’s new album as the opening chapter of a trilogy during an appearance on TalkShopLive. He explained that the band plans to work on additional material while balancing an extensive world tour.

Jasta discussed how the band hopes to manage new music alongside touring commitments. He stressed that the current album is not being overlooked, as it will take the band around the world.

“We’ll probably, when we get back from this European tour coming up, we’ll probably work on new music,” Jasta said. “And it’s not to say that we’re overlooking this record at all because this record is taking us all over the world.”

He continued with his vision for the album’s place in a larger narrative: “So we’re trying to figure out how do we do the world tour but then also have material so this way we complete the story because it feels to me, it feels like a trilogy and this is part one of the trilogy.”

Jasta addressed why certain songs were not included on the final version. “I don’t like to answer that exactly because songs that didn’t make it on there, it’s not that they didn’t make it on because they weren’t worthy of making it on,” he said. “It’s just that it might have not been the right timing for it.”

He added that he has already prepared material for future releases. “But since this record has been completed, I have lyrics for an insane amount of songs.”

The comments came during the band’s promotion of the album, which has already generated international interest.

Fatal Paradox arrived on November 6, 2026, as Hatebreed’s ninth full-length album and their first since Weight of the False Self in 2020. The record was produced by longtime collaborator Chris “Zeuss” Harris and released through BLKIIBLK Records, marking a new chapter for the band after a six-year gap between studio albums.

The band tested the waters with “Make The Demons Obey” in July 2025, their first new music in nearly five years. That single previewed the heavier, faster, and more thrash-influenced direction that Fatal Paradox would pursue, with the album leaning into the band’s most aggressive instincts while stripping away anything that might dilute the impact.

Hatebreed and Life of Agony united for the East Coast Assault on Europe Tour in November 2026, hitting eighteen cities across Poland, the Czech Republic, Austria, Romania, Bulgaria, Serbia, Hungary, Germany, the Netherlands, and Belgium. This touring schedule supports the album’s worldwide reach and fits with Jasta’s plan to balance promotion of Fatal Paradox with writing the next chapter of his trilogy concept.

Jasta’s approach to the trilogy format draws inspiration from the band’s 2002 album Perseverance, when they knew they had to put out a follow-up quickly. With lyrics already prepared for future songs, Hatebreed appears positioned to maintain momentum as they develop the next installments of the narrative Jasta envisions.
