James Hetfield’s Son Castor Drops Debut Album With Bastardane

Metallica frontman James Hetfield‘s son Castor Hetfield’s band Bastardane announced the release of their first album on their official Instagram account. The band members shared their gratefulness for everyone that supported them during the creation and recording process of the album.

Bastardane’s lineup includes Jake Dallas as the bassist and vocalist, Ethan Sirotzki as the guitarist, and Castor Hetfield as the drummer and backing vocalist. The band released their first song titled ‘Wealthy Fantasy’ in 2020, and their entrance to the rock stage drew significant attention. Later, the hard rock trio shared two singles named ‘Above All’ and ‘Let the Wasted Die’ from their debut studio album on December 13, 2021.

The band announced their debut studio album ‘Is This Rage?’ via a post on their Instagram account. It is currently available on YouTube and other music streaming platforms. In addition to the thrilling news, the band expressed their appreciation and gratefulness to their fans who have supported them during their first record creation process.

Bastardane’s IG post read as follows:

“Our Debut Album ‘Is This Rage?’ is now live!

Thank you to everyone who has supported us this year as we created this project, and a huge thank you to Hidden Audio for giving us the best studio experience we could have possibly asked for. More info and announcements are coming soon!

Vocals/Bass: Jake Dallas
Guitars: Ethan Sirotzki
Percussion/Backing Vocals: Castor Hetfield

Recorded and mixed by Hidden Audio
Mastered by Sound Artillery Studio.”

Following their IG post, the new record has received positive reviews, and it proved that Castor would be as successful as his father, Metallica frontman James Hetfield. In addition, Castor isn’t the only son that followed his father’s steps as Lars Ulrich’s sons Myles and Layne are playing in Taipei Houston, while Rob Trujillo’s son Tye is a member of Otto.

Moreover, Bastardane, Taipei Houston, and Otto performed in Metallica’s San Francisco Takeover to celebrate the band’s 40th anniversary. The audience appreciated all groups, and most Metallica fans defined them as talented and extraordinary musicians. Also, they will join their fathers at BottleRock Napa Valley Music Festival, which will be held between May 27-29 at the Napa Valley Expo in Northern California.
