Metallica frontman James Hetfield recently introduced the band’s new collaboration with an application where the members teach playing their hit songs. Hetfield invited everyone who wanted to play like Metallica to their latest project.

From the beginning of their career, Metallica members have considerably impacted the metal scene with their groundbreaking materials and live performances. The third studio album, ‘Master of Puppets,’ had a significant place on the metal acts by being described as one of the heaviest records. Many define the record as a building stone of thrash metal in that period.

The band gave a new direction to the thrash metal by becoming a part of the ‘Big Four’ along with Slayer, Megadeath, and Anthrax. Metallica has embraced aggressive fast tempo and instrumentals in its playing style, influencing many people worldwide throughout their long career, spanning more than four decades.

Musicians from the metal scene have always praised the band’s impact on the genre. Previously, Anthrax’s Scott Ian pointed out how Metallica’s musicianship gave direction to the metal scene’s future. Bullet For My Valentine’s Matt Tuck also mentioned before how he decided to embark on a career after listening to ‘The Black Album.’

Since their influence on musicians is undeniable, many fans try to play Metallica songs. Fortunately for them, the band recently introduced a collaboration with an application on its Instagram that would encourage people who wanted to play successfully like them.

Papa Het called out the people who wanted to play like Metallica in the promotional video of their collaboration with Yousician. The singer stated that people would be able to play like them by playing with them in these courses. The lessons include the group’s ten significant songs like ‘Nothing Else Matters,’ ‘Fade to Black,’ ‘Master of Puppets,’ ‘Enter Sandman,’ and ‘The Unforgiven.’

In the video and the IG post, James Hetfield said:

“So, you want to play like Metallica? The best way to play like us is to play with us. The riff is the basis for the song. I’ve always been infatuated with rhythm and syncopation. I basically play drums on a guitar. Probably the most important thing is the down-picking. “
