Papa Roach singer Jacoby Shaddix praised Ice Nine Kills’ live performance, claiming no other current band delivers the same stage experience, during an appearance on Loudwire Nights. The two groups are preparing to tour together.

Shaddix spoke with host Chuck Armstrong about what makes Ice Nine Kills’ shows stand out from other bands. He compared their theatrical approach to a legendary rock act from the past.

“It’s cool when you go to a show, and it’s not the same thing all night,” Shaddix said.

He noted that Ice Nine Kills’ stage production has already proven successful in Europe. “And it went over so well in Europe. It was like, ‘Okay, cool. This works. This is so good,'” he continued.

Shaddix then gave his full assessment of the band’s live show. “And I mean, straight up, you guys are, there’s no other band that does it like you. I mean, Alice Cooper has a little bit of that from back in the day, but there’s no acts that bring, you know, what you guys are bringing to the stage.”

Spencer Charnas, Ice Nine Kills’ frontman, responded to the praise. “Thank you. I appreciate that. It’s going to be awesome. And we’ve got some tricks up our sleeve. It’s going to be a great run,” he said.

The comments came as the two bands prepared for their tour run together.

Shaddix and Ice Nine Kills have worked together before. The Papa Roach frontman appeared on the song “Hip To Be Scared” from Ice Nine Kills’ 2021 album Welcome to Horrorwood: The Silver Scream 2, with the accompanying music video serving as a tribute to the horror film American Psycho. Ice Nine Kills’ stage production centers on horror cinema and slasher franchises, with nearly every song built around a specific horror film performed live by the band. Frontman Spencer Charnas embodies various horror characters and engages crowds with theatrical flair, supported by elaborate props and costumes that create an immersive experience.

The tour was announced on October 19, 2026, and will run for 30 dates across the U.S. starting May 11 at Biloxi, Mississippi’s Coast Coliseum and ending June 27 at Auburn, Washington’s White River Amphitheatre. Papa Roach spent much of 2026 in Europe with arena dates in the UK, Ireland, Germany, and Belgium before confirming this North American run.

Ice Nine Kills also have new music on the way. The band will release A Very Vicious Christmas on November 9, followed by their next full album, The Silver Scream 3: Every Flick in the Book, in 2027.
