Jack Russell recently shared on SiriusXM’s ‘Trunk Nation’ his wish to meet with his former bandmate Mark Kendall one more time.
The ex-Great White vocalist, who had to leave the band in 2011 due to health issues, talked about the possibility of reuniting with Kendall, saying:
“Yeah, of course, there’s always that thought. Just because I look back and some of the best times in my life were when me and Mark were hanging out when we were young kids and then started the band and were just playing around. We were making little tapes like we were doing interviews…. We were just playing.”
Mentioning the times they formed Great White together in the ’70s, he went on:
“And it was a great time, ’cause we always knew we were gonna pull it off. I don’t know how to tell you why, but we always knew we were gonna, and we just kept going and going and going until all of a sudden, we were there. And we had so many great times. And I would love to at least shake his hand before I kick off.”
Russell And Kendall’s Friendship And Dispute

Russell’s relationship with Kendall got tense after the singer sued his former bandmates in 2012 for using the Great White name during his absence.
Soon after, the guitarist and other members counter-sued the former frontman, claiming his behavior was harming their brand and accused him of underpricing his shows.
After the lawsuit resulted in a settlement, leading to the creation of Jack Russell’s Great White while the others continued as Great White, Russell shared his thoughts about the broken friendship between him and Kendall with ‘Sonic Boom’:
“It is too bad. We were best friends; we were brothers for years. And now it’s like the guy won’t even pick up the phone and speak to me. It’s horrible. It makes you feel really bad. And every time I pick up a paper or [I see] something on the Internet [where] Mark’s [giving] an interview, he’s always talking shit about me. It’s, like, dude, talk about yourself. Talk about how great your album is or how great your band is. Leave me the fuck alone. I’m not bagging on you.”
Currently, Great White is on the road for their North American tour, and Russell’s band has plans for a few shows at Cactus Pete’s Resort Casino in Nevada in February.
