Jack Black will induct Ozzy Osbourne into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame later this month.

The ceremony will take place on October 19 at Rocket Mortgage FieldHouse in Cleveland, Ohio. An all-star tribute to the ‘Crazy Train’ singer’s solo career will feature performances from Billy Idol, Tool’s Maynard James Keenan, and country artist Jelly Roll. The backing band will include bassist Rob Trujillo, who was in Osbourne’s band before joining Metallica.

But will the rocker actually perform? “You never know,” Osbourne said earlier in April this year.

Still, Osbourne feels excited about the induction and the all-star lineup of musicians honoring him. He also shared hopes that some of the band members will eventually receive the same recognition.

Jack Black will deliver a speech during the induction ceremony. Last year, he performed Osbourne’s ‘Mr. Crowley’ with a group of teens in a School Of Rock-style setting.

The 2024 Rock & Roll Hall of Fame induction ceremony will happen on Oct. 19 at the Rocket Mortgage Fieldhouse in Cleveland.

The event will stream live on Disney+ at 7 p.m. EDT and will be available for on-demand streaming afterward. Highlights from the ceremony will be featured in a TV special titled ‘2024 Rock & Roll Hall of Fame Induction Ceremony,’ airing on January 1 on ABC.
