Liam Gallagher put an end to the Oasis vs. Beatles argument.

The rocker took to X to respond to a user’s comment about the comparison between the two bands. The user shared his tweet in response to NME’s new article about Oasis’ recently released version of ‘Sad Song.’

“Beatles cover band,” the user wrote.

Liam replied: “Better than The Beatles.”

After Oasis’ first two hugely successful albums ‘Definitely Maybe‘ and ‘(What’s The Story) Morning Glory?,’ Noel once claimed that Oasis was ‘bigger’ than The Beatles. He later admitted that he made the comment while he was ‘high.’

As opposed to his brother, Noel said the comparison was embarrassing.

“When Oasis started, we were so big we were compared to [The Beatles] size-wise and musically, embarrassingly, compared to them as well,” he admitted during an interview. “[It’s embarrassing] because we weren’t as good as them.”

“The Beatles mean everything to me,” he added. “They’ve definitely got the best tunes, hands down. In my record collection, they’ve got the greatest tunes by far.”

Earlier this summer, Liam finished his ‘Definitely Maybe’ 30th-anniversary tour across the UK and Ireland. During the tour, he dedicated the song ‘Half The World Away’ to Noel and mentioned to the crowd that Noel was ‘still playing hard to get’ about an Oasis reunion.
